- Moonrise & moonset
- Visible upper edge, with standard refraction; a missing event remains unavailable.
- Displayed clock times
- 12-hour local time, rounded to the nearest minute. Following-day dates are written explicitly. Calendar files retain calculated instants.

Independent numerical checks
These results describe finite test samples, not a universal accuracy guarantee for every date, latitude or ritual.
| Comparison | Sample | Largest recorded difference |
|---|---|---|
| PAC/IMD solar entries | 16 printed anchors, 2026–2027 | 49.219 seconds against a minute-printed row |
| Sun/Moon event boundaries | 1,608 roots across every year, 1900–2100 | 42.465 seconds; fixed 60-second gate |
| Sun/Moon positions near boundaries | 22,512 comparisons | Sun 1.953″; Moon 5.098″ |
| Lunar horizon | 3,600 event or absence slots, nine places, seven eras | 11.295 seconds for visible upper edge |
| Saturn sign crossings / stations | 172 / 388 events | 19.166 / 4.121 seconds in TT |
The separate Drik solar-ingress table still differs by up to 6½ minutes. Its cause is unverified. We follow the documented PAC/IMD comparison standard for astronomical sign-entry reminders; we do not claim exact publisher parity or infer a puja appointment from an ingress.
Calendar and ritual coverage
Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana use astronomical longitudes. Daily timings depend on the chosen local sunrise and sunset. Atmospheric conditions and an obstructed horizon can change an observed rise or set.
Regional date conventions and devotional selections are separate. A tithi label alone does not establish a fasting date. Supported festival profiles use their recorded reference window; unsupported tie cases, intercalary policies, ISKCON parana and complete ceremonial elections remain outside verified coverage. Preliminary daily windows are not personalised wedding or house-entry Muhurats.

Planetary calculations use MIT-licensed Astronomy Engine and our local Saturn reduction and Panchang rules. Swiss Ephemeris is used as an independent validation reference, not shipped as the live calculation engine. No paid Panchang API is required.

Review history
- 16 October: Sankashti moonrise markers use the same visible-edge event as daily readings; absent events remain unavailable. This does not resolve double-day fasting rules.
- 15 October: one display rounding rule, continuous midnight Lagna, consistent visible-Moon fields in structured data and public JSON.
- 14 October: official solar anchors, annual boundary matrix, lunar horizon matrix and current-engine audit guards.
- 11 October: original Saturn correction and independent event comparisons.
