Calculation methods and validation →Questions about this Panchang
Why do Hindi and Marathi month names differ?
The Purnimanta month ends at the full moon, while the Amanta month ends at the new moon. During the dark fortnight the month names can differ. The tithi interval itself remains the same.
Does choosing a calendar confirm every festival and fasting date?
Five angas are available. Gaurabda months, Ekadashi, Mahadvadashi and parana need the separate GCAL rules; generic tithi dates are not ISKCON fasting dates.
Why can the time change when I choose another place?
Local coordinates determine sunrise, sunset and daily divisions. Tithi transitions are astronomical instants; their clock display follows the selected timezone.
