THE PANCHANG JOURNAL
Moon sign, Sun sign and Lagna: choose the right Rashifal
These three signs describe different positions. Know which one your daily reading uses before comparing astrology pages.
Three labels answer different questions
The Moon sign describes the zodiac division containing the Moon at a specified instant. The Sun sign uses the Sun. Lagna describes the sign rising at the eastern horizon for a location and time.
Those inputs differ, so the results can differ without a contradiction. A birth-date-only Sun-sign list should not be assumed to supply an exact birth Moon sign or Lagna.
Which sign does PanchangSaathi use?
Our daily Rashifal view uses your selected birth Moon sign as the reference for original editorial transit reflections. It is not a complete personal chart reading and is not a scientifically established forecast.
If you do not know the birth Moon sign, use accurate birth details with the supported calculator. Keep uncertainty about the recorded time visible, especially near a sign boundary. A polished twelve-sign selector cannot recover a missing birth record.
Read a reflection as a reflection
Use the daily theme as a prompt for thought, communication or routine. It should not claim a guaranteed marriage, income change, diagnosis or investment result. The calculated planetary context and the editorial interpretation should remain visibly separate.
When comparing websites, check whether the reading is based on Moon sign, Sun sign or a personalised chart. Also match the zodiac and ayanamsa convention. Different reference choices can produce different pages even when the underlying astronomical positions agree.
The practical habit is to select one clearly understood basis and use it consistently. Read only the guidance relevant to your day, opening the technical context when you want to understand how the positions were obtained.
