Two different alignments

The February event’s annular path crosses parts of South America and Africa. The August event’s totality path includes southern Spain, North Africa, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. A global eclipse date does not establish visibility or contact times for your city.

Protect your eyes

Use suitable solar viewers throughout an annular or partial eclipse. Ordinary sunglasses are insufficient. Cameras, telescopes and binoculars require their own front-mounted solar filters. Follow the NASA viewing instructions before observing.
